And on That Note...
While we're on the topic of robins, I have inferred a few things about these humble creatures.
I looked up a site about robins, and it set me up for a field study under the title, "Get to Know Your Robin" (complete with a date record plan). Alas, I must to leave the field study to someone else and tend to my own nest at present, but it left me with questions to consider:
-How much do robins songs/calls vary at different times in a day? To me, this indicated that they must. How much do our songs/calls vary, and Who is there to hear every one? "And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear." Isa 65:24
-Do songs/calls vary between individuals? I'm assuming that they do, or they would not have asked. Imagine what it must be like to the Lord, Who hears the collective cries of our hearts, yet knows each one of us by name and is interested in each facet of our sometimes intricate needs. "Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered."
Rom 8:26
-Is there a difference between male and female songs/calls? (Maybe this is your favorite question). Again, I assumed that there must be. Though men and women will never totally understand each other here on earth (and may be driven crazy in the effort), the Lord--in His amazing wisdom and maybe some humor-- has created us differently to complement the other, so He is the only One Who understands both kinds of calls! (I'm guessing the females sing the longest).
"The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth. He will fulfil the desire of them that fear Him: He also will hear their cry, and will save them." Ps 145:18-19
